Song of the day: September 30, 2009
M83 is Frenchman Anthony Gonzalez, and one of the genre shoegazing’s most notable acts. For this track and the rest of the accompanying album he used only keyboards and instruments from the 70’s and 80’s with the exception of computers used in the recording process. The result is another example of what I call “future retro”. Taking us back to the past while somehow simultaneously casting us into the future. Be sure to check out his music videos too, they are amazing! Enjoy…

"We Have Band are one of London’s favorite bands right now, veering from DIY NYPC electro-splash (does that sound believable enough to be a genre?) to Talking Heads new wave. ” – NME

Would you believe in a love at first listening? I'm certain that it happens all the time! At least, it happened to me when I heard Yukimi Nagano's voice the first time..
"Feather" is my favorite song today, actually i'm currently obsessed with, i'll hope you enjoy it too!

So no surprise that my favorite girl Lykke Li, decided to cover the Kings of Leon "Knocked up rodeo mash up" song, and as would be expected from anything she does, it's great. Have a listen!

The couple, also known as The xx's, in this song, "Islands", have given up on their endless search for something more, for someone better. I's like to believe that we can be content and fulfilled, and that it won't feel like settling, and that our eyes and minds will stop wondering..

Little Dragon's sophomore album, "Machine Dreams", is the best girly, poppy, pretty, synthy, dreamy, tender, longing, haunting, moody..toe-tapping, infectious and cool record to come out Sweden since Lykke Li's "Youth Novels".
